OR 11.3: cloud-native platform

SMARTOUR’s infrastructure makes the leap to the cloud-native paradigm. Noferi coordinates the cloud computing infrastructure on which all other OR software deliverables are integrated.

Production stack

The Open Source stack selected and brought to production:

  • Kubernetes + Rancher for orchestration and multi-cluster management
  • GitLab CE for CI/CD and private container registry
  • Grafana for monitoring and observability
  • Hardware provided by 01 Sistemi

On top of the infrastructure:

  • Partner onboarding service with dedicated namespaces and deployments
  • Ticketing/helpdesk system for integration support
  • Centralised logging and monitoring

Results in deliverable D11.3 — research, selection and cloud computing architecture prototype.

OR 12.2: web access portals

In parallel, noze builds the web portals for operators and PAs with a Headless CMS architecture: authoring and publishing decoupled, specialised interfaces per channel (responsive web, mobile, social, API, IoT).

Results in deliverable D12.2 — web access portal prototype for operators and PA.

All choices prioritise Open Source and FLOSS technologies: containerisation, declarative orchestration, GitOps, infrastructure-as-code, independently deployable microservices.
