The establishment
The startup SleepActa is formally established as a dedicated legal entity for the development and commercialisation of artificial intelligence solutions for sleep analysis. The establishment follows the research work initiated by noze on machine learning applied to polysomnography and actigraphy data.
The research
SleepActa continues and intensifies R&D activities along the main research lines:
- Time series analysis: processing of complex physiological signals acquired during sleep — brain activity, breathing, eye movements, muscle activity, activity-rest cycle. Machine learning algorithms identify patterns, sleep stages and anomalies
- Wake-up prediction: predictive models capable of anticipating the moment of awakening with increasing precision, based on features extracted from polysomnographic and actigraphic time series
- Path towards EU Level I medical certification: the system is designed to meet European regulatory requirements for medical devices. The software architecture, technical documentation and validation processes follow the guidelines for certification
The context
SleepActa represents the first formal spinoff born from noze’s research activity. The startup embodies the convergence between machine learning and digital health expertise, translating years of research into a product with certification and commercialisation objectives in the European market.
