Operational start
The SMARTOUR project enters its execution phase. noze, in partnership with 01 Sistemi, coordinates three technologically central Work Packages (OR) for the consortium.
OR 1.3: infrastructure analysis and requirements
Noferi coordinates a technology scouting effort on available infrastructures. The analysis covers in depth:
- API-first approach: REST, gRPC, GraphQL, MQTT, message queues, OGC standards
- Deployment modes: SOA, microservices, serverless
- Delivery: on-premise, private/public/hybrid cloud
- Container orchestration as an emerging direction
Results in deliverable D1.3 — analysis of communication infrastructures and integration/interoperability requirements.
Technical foundations
This analysis lays the groundwork for the architectural choices to be consolidated in subsequent project phases. The approach is rigorous and Open Source-oriented: every component is evaluated for maturity, community, licence and long-term sustainability.
The consortium includes academic and industrial partners with complementary expertise. Territorial experiments are being prepared across Salerno, Tuscany and Piedmont.
