The event

The national conference “Open Source and Public Administration” takes place at the CNR in San Cataldo, Pisa, in the presence of Minister Stanca. The event brings together institutional, academic and entrepreneurial figures to discuss the adoption of free software in Italian public administration.

noze’s contribution

Stefano Noferi speaks on “Open Source at work: the Italian SME offering”, representing SMEs engaged in developing the Open Source market. His contribution brings the perspective of Italian small and medium enterprises that build professional solutions on free software, highlighting opportunities and challenges of adoption in Public Administration.

Noferi also delivers a letter to the attending institutions, calling for concrete support for Open Source adoption in the public sector. During the event, the nascent FreeSBI (Free Software Business Initiative) is presented, an initiative aimed at coordinating Italian businesses active in the free software market.
