On 20 May at 4:00 pm at the Polo Didattico Fibonacci, Lecture Hall A, the meeting between students and local companies on the topic of Open Source will take place, which noze enthusiastically joins.

T-OSSLab, as part of its activities for the spread of free software and in collaboration with the Computer Science Degree Courses of the University of Pisa, has decided to promote these meetings, as it is an opportunity for companies to introduce themselves to future computer scientists — illustrating motivations, opportunities, technologies and projects — and for students an opportunity to learn about the working world and to gain further elements to evaluate the internships offered by companies.

To reconcile the initiative with academic commitments and favour student participation, within the lessons of the TIC course, a discussion meeting has been organised entitled:

Free software as an entrepreneurial challenge: roundtable with local companies

The participants of the meeting will also include:

  • Net7 - semantic web, functional languages for the web, European research
  • Faunalia - professional association for geographical and territorial services
  • noze - software house specialised in Open Source technologies and applications (Alfresco, Joomla, Plone, Ubuntu)
  • BNOVA - system integrator and training partner of Pentaho

For the programme, visit T-OSSLab.
