The founding

The Italian Zope Association (AZI) is founded with the aim of aggregating and developing the Italian community of users of the Zope application server and related products, including Plone. noze is among the founding members of the association.

The mission

AZI’s mission is to:

  • Promote the adoption and development of Zope and Plone in Italy
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange among developers, users and companies
  • Represent the Italian Zope community at national and international level
  • Support training and documentation initiatives
  • Foster collaboration between the Italian community and the global Zope and Plone ecosystems

The context

Zope is an Open Source web application server written in Python, while Plone is a content management system built on top of Zope that is gaining significant traction for enterprise and institutional web portals. The Italian community around these technologies is active and includes companies, developers, universities and public administration bodies.

noze’s role

As a founding member, noze contributes its experience and expertise in Zope-based solutions to the association. The company has been building on the Zope platform since its early years, developing products such as InFlow CMS and delivering web applications for both private and public sector clients. noze’s involvement in AZI reinforces its commitment to the collaborative development of the Zope and Plone ecosystem in Italy.
